NO FR FR. IM IN YOUR SHOES BUT REVERSE
The past few Saturdays, my trainer gets so mad at my mistakes. ONLY ON SATURDAYS. She is so patient on week days. I feel like I train myself on Saturdays because I’m too afraid to bother them to ask help, or they’re just so chaotically busy that I wanna knock someone out.
Hopefully we’ll go thru this :) I believe in you, and thank you for being considerate of the person you’re training

Exactly my point! I feel like it does more harm than good especially if the store is busy and short staffed. It doesn’t create a good learning/teaching environment.

For sure, it creates this environment of pure chaos and anxiety, for both parties. When you first start, there’s so many damn drinks to remember. How am I supposed to memorize that all in the heat of 10 cars in the drive thru lane, the long ass line Going out the door, and mobile orders. I just wish there was a different method of training. Or like you said making it ILLEGAL on Saturdays, it’s so fucked.

Me when I was the only person on bar during Sunday peak while they trained a new barista. I hadn’t even been working for two months at that point.

I didn't train on the weekends, or even schedule trained green beans on the weekends, until they could handle it. Why a manager would ever set someone up to fail is beyond me.

I agree OP. But for me, I’ve trained only once, I don’t blame the new barista for making some mistakes but it just stressful for not only the new barista but it put more stress on you personally

I mean, it’s their only availability…

I understand why it happens it just sucks sometimes for me and the person I’m training
