I was supposed to work this weekend but my brother-in-law got into a vehicle accident with two, two-year-old kiddos in the backseat so I called my store to tell them I won't be coming in this weekend since I will have to help him and help take care of his other two kids. Do you know the first thing my manager said to me? Not "I am sorry to hear that" or "that's so unfortunate, are they okay?" The first thing she says to me "can you put your shifts up in the group chat? Thank you." and hangs up. Not a shed of empathy or concern. I love working for this place.
