sharon. Sharon. SHARON. SHARON! SHARON!!!

okay, the shaken espressos are whatever. it's that iced LF killing me. Imagine enjoying earl grey with caramel and cinnamon and brown sugar. imagine that in your mouth and also liking it. with the added strength of four tea bags and some splenda. some splenda to **sweeten it**. BYE

The iced London fog with brown sugar syrup is amazing 🤣 I don't know about the rest of the crap in it, but it's my favorite

I don't like Earl grey tea... So I honestly have no clue why any of this is wrong. Will you please ELI5?

ETA: I just realized that when I do make a flavor of tea I like, it's 1 bag per 8oz water. I'm supposed to double of making it iced. So 4 bags doesn't seem wrong for 20oz, either?

taste is a matter of preference so i want to preface by saying there are no right or wrong answers. *HOWEVER:* Earl grey is a floral tea characterised by its heavy bergamot scent (which is also what gives froot loops their scent). its taste and aroma are flowery, and would pair well with other citrus items, or mint, or something light but bright in flavour.

cinnamon, caramel, toffee nut, and brown sugar have a very different flavour profile, they are heartier sweet flavours that pair with chocolate, coffee, graham crackers, that sort of thing. so this iced LF is comparable to say, peanut butter and cinnamon on a slice of lemon loaf. it just doesn't go.

about the teabag thing: if i were making this drink, i'd take a tall cup, fill it with hot water, and steep four earl grey tea bags in it for five minutes. this is how the modifier would apply to the standard, and this would make really strong, gross, yucky tea.

Ah. That makes a lot more sense. Thank you for your time and the information.

It’s also made with heavy cream. So it’s equal parts tea and heavy cream.
ladyelenawf 1 points 9m ago
Oh ... No. I missed that part!

One time in my ignorance, I figured a little heavy cream would be better than a lot of milk. Except I'd never actually tasted heavy cream. So I figured I'd take a tiny so to get a feel. I mean I know it's a little in soups. So it should be waaaaay less, but still good... Right? That sip was just not right.
