Absolutely insane day today (self.starbucksbaristas)

I'm in central NC, and because of the hurricane, some stores didn't have power, and a lot of customers didn't have power/internet. Our store that general does 8-9k a day was at 8k by 1. And we did nearly 12k today. Peak essentially lasted 3.5 hours and did 3.2k in a 2 hour window (the busiest peak all week). The partners today absolutely killed it this morning.

The hurricane made it so hard for me and my team we had a huge rush that lasted the whole day because other Starbucks in the area were closed! But thankfully we got through it.

I mean, they have every right to do that. Kinda the whole point of it being the third place.

Totally agree, I work in an area with a crap energy response if there's an outage. It ain't a hurricane, but these guys freak out
