How does tipping through the app work? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Does the tip go to the Barista that served me or are they pooled? Do they get a notification someone tipped? Do they know who the tip came from, etc?

We will never see who tipped or didn’t on the app and tips are pooled between everyone and divided by hours worked.

wait do do y'alls stores actually see mobile tips?? we have no idea where they go. but customers have told me they tipped on the app and i'm like?? i do tips myself and it's only cash in store??
