She was totally being a dick on purpose, and wanted to make you feel bad. I hate to say it but it worked :( I’m sorry you dealt with that. She probably did that because for the first time in her life she felt like the minority and it scared her.

Because as a white person she knows how minorities are treated and she doesn’t want to be treated that way, and she went into a space where she wasn’t surrounded by white people and it scared her.
