You manager could also being using that as an excuse to not promote you. I've SMs pull literal shit out of their ass to partners rather than saying the actual reason. I haven't heard anything either and I'm a SSV.

That doesn’t sound accurate at all

How do you mean?

what they mean that, (I as a shift), have heard nothing about this. And yk damn well they’d have more issues if they tried to downgrade us as overpaid baristas on top of this union commotion. Earlier this year we all had meeting with our DMs letting us know we are the most important role in the company and it is no lie. Think of how many SMs, and DMs too honestly who are able to get away with their absences because shifts hold the day to day together. What they told you sounds like a bunch off bull of someone who is trying to back out

I don’t think y’all are being downgraded from what he was saying about it, it was more like they were changing the rules about what managers are allowed to do with their SSVs. How many they can have at one store, how many hours hours they are allowed to work, not being able to overlap on shifts ect. Idk. He said he would get me promoted at any other store that was hiring but as far as at our store he doesn’t know if he’s going to allowed to hire another one right now

to that I still say they haven’t mentioned it at all. There’s been no hub communications I’ve seen about that. How many they can have at one store and overlap between them is typically determined by labor and business the store generates. I know my store will need some soon and we are already working on development plans for them. Have you been interviewed yet by your SM or by your DM?
