is henna based nail stain food safe and okay for work? (self.starbucksbaristas)

i understand not allowing acrylics and nail polishes that can chip into drinks so i researched other nail coloring alternatives and was j wondering what y’all think. i miss having my nails done :(

ive been wondering this too! the only concern may be it appearing unhygienic, even though it isnt. whether or not it’s allowed probably depends on your sm/dm

The dress code prohibits “nail polish and artificial nail coverings” and I believe henna nails would fall under that

I think artificial nail coverings mean like acrylics or press on. Henna just stains your nails and can’t chip off or anything so maybe it would be fine?

Henna isn't a covering, though. It stains your nail, then you wash it off. After that your nails are completely bare but stained. You can even still see under the tips. I have it on my nails right now...( I don't work for SBs though, just popped in to clarify)
