I currently work at a regular Starbucks location, but I'm applying to a licensed store as a second job. Since I'm already experienced & trained, and i imagine there won't be *too* much of a difference from one to another, would it be unreasonable to ask for a higher starting pay at the next one? It's in a target and the starting is $15, but idk i feel like I could totally bargain for more. Does anyone else have experience here?

Wait.....so will you be working two jobs both at Starbucks IF occupying all of your free time? Dude it sounds like you may go ape shit and I worry for you

I'm trying to save up for a car because mine is only alive by a miracle 😭 plus it would be so much easier to not have to learn a whole new skill set

I did it for about 5 months. It's not as hard as it seems. To work 2 jobs at Starbucks. Good look!

try applying as an SSV. it’s a slightly different format than being a corporate supervisor, but the pay is inherently better and, like you said, you already know how to be a barista. If that’s not possible, then yes, definitely bargain — licensed stores often have a really hard time getting their workers caught up to speed depending on the involvement of the DM for licensed stores. You having existing knowledge is a huge bonus to them.

If you’re going to a licensed store it’ll all be through a different company (edit: target, in your case). Starbucks itself won’t have any say over what you get paid

And that's exactly why i think i could totally ask for more
