Is the Sanitizer not food safe? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I was under the impression that the sani water was food safe since we used it to clean the wands and wipe down counters, but after our Hobart broke down and we had to hand wash everything, my manager told us that our sanitizer wasn’t food safe so we had to rinse the dishes after they had soaked in sani water for 60 sec

Sanitizer is food safe, it’s the same water we used on the steamers between drinks lol

We put san water in the container to wipe the steaming wand. So it def is good safe. Some people are allergic to it
