So.. I guess I was fired. After being targeted for months by a specific shift and transferring stores due to sexual harassment, after 2 years I was given a notice of separation. The technical reason was because I wrote on my own personal cup, a phrase that included a cuss word, with another partner. It was after close, in the back area and I threw it away. The opening shift manager saw it in the trash, took a picture, and sent it to corporate. My store manager teared up giving me my notice and now they’re out of a core closer and their clean play partner. 🫡 297 out.

This is like 80% politics and 20% lack of foresight on OP's part. If anything take it as a lesson on what not to do in the future. Play around and stuff as much as you want (or can) but make sure you don't leave something behind that can get you in corporate's crosshairs.

Also, if you have a manager who is targeting you, get ahead of it by reporting them to HR for harassment, this makes any report made against you by that individual become questioned and investigated. If you don't, the reports are automatically treated as gospel and you have a much harder battle ahead of you.

Going through the trash to get a closer fired when you're an opener is a whole new level of petty... Losing good partners for petty shit (I'm sorry no cursing lol) stuff is absolutely the worst because we are here with okay partners who choose to do things that aren't standard and aren't correct on the floor not getting fired because we "need to coach them" but then you play a joke with a fellow barista and get canned because of something you did after store hours not in front of customers....
