Wow, I knew when I was going through the weird process to install the app that something strange was going on. It created a new google user or something? I now have a "work" section in my app drawer that has all the stuff it installed and nothing else. Just not a standard app installation at all and that's really all it should be. Some guy in the thread you are linking said it's is for security, but that is absolute bullshit. There is no reason such a basic app needs all that access to my phone. I know because I've worked at other places with an app for the same stuff and it was just a normal app with a username and pw they gave me. I'm gonna have to uninstall this crap.
