Question about transferring (self.starbucksbaristas)

thinking about trying to relocate to another store bc i did not get off to a great start at my first store. ive been with starbucks for 2 months and in still rusty on bar but we are a dt store and its kinda stressful so i would wanna transfer to a cafe only or licensed store. how should i go about it and am i even allowed to transfer?

Unfortunately, you have to be in role for 6 months as well as other requirements. You can check the hub foe the whole list. Good luck op.

If you wanted to go to the licensed side, you'd have to quit corporate and apply to the store they are in. They are separate entities. Target starbucks employees are actually target employees, same for grocery stores, airports, etc.

In the partner handbook it says you only need to complete the barista basics training, and be in good standing. so ask you sm about it for sure.

Don’t go to a cafe only store, esp if you’re still slow on bar. Those stores have way less hours so you’ll be doing warming, bar, AND register all by yourself.. and they’re boringgg. I’m still slow on bar (I’m about 2-3 months in) and i much prefer my DT store.
