Partner numbers question (self.starbucksbaristas)

Can someone give me a clear answer on this: when a partner comes through and wants to use their numbers, do we still press the “partner beverage” and “partner food”? Or only the discount? I have been still clicking on the partner beverage and food and some of my coworkers have said that was just for the pandemic and we no longer do that. Can someone tell me what exactly i’m supposed to click now?

Partner discount

You can only redeem your partner beverage during breaks and 30 min before/after your shift

You can only use your partner food during your breaks and 30 min before/after your shift. You get 7 food markouts a week

If a partner isn’t working they only get the discount

I thought we could get food markouts any time. Like, I've come into the store on Sunday on my days off before to get like, 3 sandwiches to freeze

I just found out they recently changed the food mark outs policy. This is what I’ve heard from a few other partners: we get seven per week only during our shifts, but prior to the covid benefits going away it was seven whenever but only at our home store

Accidentally deleted my above comment but: Partner discount. Giving them free drink or food in their off hours (aside from 30 minutes before or after clocking in) could get those baristas fired since corporate views it as them stealing and abusing their mark outs.

Nope. You get 7 foods items a week regardless if you work 1 day or 7 days. They keep saying it's good til such and such date then cause it's such a positive thing with partners it is still going on

Of course. But if you want to say do you 4 of them Tuesday (causeyou work 3 days), then 1 on the next shift, then the rest on your last shift of the week you can.

The partner drink is technically 30mins before and 30mins after you leave and unlimited as you work.

I didn’t say otherwise but it’s not exactly unlimited. It’s one drink consumed at a time and ideally with corporate you’re supposed to be on your break since the policy is that you have to get off the floor and redeem your mark out like a customer. There is a point where your numbers get flagged because of the total amount and cost of mark outs.

Still in Canada.. amazed and baffled yall get Partner Food. But yeah, off the clock you get partner discount only. Bevs (or Food if you're #blessed) are for 30 mins before or after or breaks during shift. 😊

During the height of COVID, Starbucks expanded the markout benefit to where you could get a partner Bev/food whether you were working or not. I believe there was a limit but I don’t remember what it was.

They just recently reverted it back to the original policy, with a few very small changes so it’s understandable that you didn’t know. There are a ton of people who don’t know it went back to how it was pre-COVID.

We don't get partner food in the UK either! We get 2 free tall drinks on shift, and then 30% discount for anything else.

I know everyone’s saying just the partner discount but honestly If you’re a partner coming into my store I’m pressing everything I can to get you you’re discounts… Starbucks is a huge corp and it isn’t my life job so 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ whatever happens happens 🤭🤭
