What the fuck is it with the cycle on the radio these past few weeks and the same songs over and over again. Like the big yellow taxi original and the cover literally two songs later it’s making me want to shoot myself in the foot.

From my tests, it's about 45 minutes, then it switches to another random playlist. There's some sort of weighting system, which makes certain playlists more likely to be selected (often seasonal/new/generally agreeable ones), while others are less likely to be selected (niche genres, foreign language playlists, showtunes, etc).

Someone unfavorited all of our songs yesterday and just favorited two….. I’ve now heard something in the way by nirvana more times than I ever needed. It truly invokes rage in me at this point. The big yellow taxi cover is absolutely atrocious and i turn the music down when it comes on at this point. Im at my ends with it. Just give me Christmas music, I can’t take it anymore.

Just started and the best part about my new job is that whoever is controlling the music has a taste super similar to mine. They were playing Radiohead stuff and not the typical, but the crazy kid A and Amnesiac stuff and I love that shit, but never hear anyone listen to it. Also, I'm in a drive thru only store so we just have a bluetooth speaker. I still don't know who is controlling it though as I'm too busy trying to remember how many fucking pumps and shots go in all these drinks. I figured there would be some sort of system to remember it all, but it seems like every fucking drink is a different number of shots and pumps, no system I can tell. Then you have these shaken espresso drinks. I didn't even know that was a thing. Anyway, really glad I don't have to listen to that crap that it seems most people have to deal with.
