i have worked at my starbucks location for a few months but today i quit due to the major disrespect i have been receiving from higher ranks there, including management for the past month. me and my manager were the only full time people/only day shift workers and my manager expected me to work just as many hours as her, 5 days a week 10/11 hour shifts a day with no lunch breaks or breaks in general with only $12 an hr. while my position there was only barista and they wouldn’t give me assistant manager, the hours and work wasn’t worth $12 an hour and so it all caught up to me eventually and i realized i was being taken advantage of. well today i was 20 minutes late (which is the latest i’ve ever been) and got bitched at for it and stuff was thrown in my face abt it etc, i just had enough of the stress and disrespect and after being wrote up for a simple mistake the day before i decided enough was enough and i walked out, texted my manager and they told me off and was trying to guilt trip/gaslight me. i have to find another location to work at and ik i wasted a few months working there but at least i finally realized and accepted i was being taken advantage of and stopped it.

Good on you for getting out of there, sounds like it was definitely the right choice.
I would really consider making a complaint, to corporate and/or the labour board or the local equivalent, because I'm pretty sure 10-12 shifts with no breaks is illegal pretty much everywhere.
And if I'm ready your post right, I think you might also have a case for assault?

If it’s a corporate location and you didn’t give two weeks notice, I’d say the likelihood of you being flagged as unable to rehire is very high.
