I'm in the UK! I don't fully understand, I think it's to do with EU freedom of travel/trade routes that the UK no longer has access to? So certain products are hard to source now because it's no longer able to be transported the same way?

We also didn't have any of the location mugs for a while because there was a shortage of the raw materials needed to make them

yes and one time i stood up for my coworker who was yelled at by this entitled lady, and she came back to complain and my manager gave her free stuff soooo. the behavior is always rewarded and it will never stop

I'm the ssv point of contact rn while my sm is on vacation, and I've been wearing her name tag while she's been gone lol. everyone at my store wears each other's name tag, including her, so when we had several DMs stop by on the way to a regional conference, she had to lie out the ass on the spot of how her middle name is a traditionally very masculine name that was on her tag

my sm said we can’t use fake names either. it’s saved us when people wrote bad reviews, but she mentioned to the baristas who used fake names that it would be a write up. but i will still make a nametag with a fake name or something and see where it goes !

“…my manager gave her [complaining customer] free stuff… The behavior is always rewarded and it will never stop” … yet Starbucks came out with a statement to partners that we need to stop rewarding/congratulating all accomplishments because it creates a person that always expects something in return for doing their job, and instead need to learn to learn what to reward and what not to…. BUT KAREN CAN HAVE FREE SHIT. The things this company pulls I swear 😤🤬

she was “never trained” to be a manager so now we have all these coaches from corporate in our store forcing her to abide to the strictest company policies. that probably includes always “making the moment right” and never having human emotion.

We had ours broken for almost 4 weeks a few months back 🙃 They placed the ticket at a p.3 and it would have been fixed later if our chill maintenence guy didn't happen to come and fix it while he was servicing another machine.

with the expectation sbux places on baristas to meet their dt times and create meaningful connections , corporate has a responsibility to provide the product and tools necessary to do the job. Running out of espresso is unacceptable. And who has to face the flack from customers and extra time bc customers havr to reevaliate rveruthing they thought theybohew and dont know what to order. Hope mobile orders were turned off or anything with espresso was. That really sucks I feel for you. That's absurd

For whatever reason our store gets sent a lot of things that get put on shortage lists so we are lucky in that sense. We are just always out of partners and sadly they don’t have those on the order list :(

We are out of stuff alot and our loads never show when they are supposed to. I here supply chain issues and a labor shortage. I do believe the labor shortage excuse only because we have not been able to get anyone in to apply for a job and when they do the people only want to work 9 to five are want a set schedule.

my area is out of brown sugar, most sandwiches (breakfast AND lunch), and we ran out of heavy cream and 2% yesterday. the amount of people who were like "God all the stores are out of this!" is astronomical. girlie i wish we weren't out of this too.
