finding myself in a bit of a predicament(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Clean_Vast_6463
So I am unfortunately developing a crush on one of my fellow baristas I frequently work with. We’ve become pretty good friends and always joke around on the headsets and recently realized I’m starting to crush on him. Do I risk our friendship and working relationship and tell him or just keep it to myself and let it die out. Feeling a bit conflicted and any advice is welcome

Let it die out. It is not worth the risk to your working environment if it were to not work out/was unreciprocated. If either one of you leave, chase your dreams.

Dunno, I let mine die, and I've two coworkers who tried dating in the workplace and it nearly destroyed them

F*ck it, I say go for it. Invite him to hang out not at work; if you do, and it’s great, then confess. Worst comes worst, transfer.

Not sure why you’re being down voted, I’d say go for it . Starbucks job is a dime a dozen, good relationships aren’t.

Everyone saying let it die out but I think you should go for it. You could be risking ur potential true love over a minimum wage job that treats you like shit.

Let it die, would be my recommendation. Maybe if you have contact info, you can reconnect at a later time when one or both of you doesn't work with starbucks (or at least at the same store), but until that point it's not worth the risk of drama or messiness that could come. Over time the crush will pass, and you can just be work friends :)

I’m ab to marry my old mgr soooo I can’t really judge if you go for it. sometimes it all works out lol

I’d put in a transfer request first. because you wouldn’t be able to work at the same store or same day parts if in a relationship.
