The customer connection score doesnt affect baristas at all, so don’t worry about it. A low score will get your boss in trouble, but that’s not your problem

Honestly, there’s so much more to this job than making drinks. The most important thing is getting in rhythm with your team. Observe how others move and work. Ask a lot of questions. Connections will come naturally to some of us and feel forced for others. Being part of your team will be the best thing for you overall.

for me at least, it was easier to learn the rhythm of everything else, DT, warming, pos, etc, before moving on to drinks. i feel like being on bar is very stressful if you don’t have a full understanding of how the different roles work together.

also, the connection score is just by store, not by barista. a low score would only affect you if your manager puts pressure on the baristas to push higher scores.
