Guy at drive thru window after I rush over from bar 1 to hand out his stuff-
"Are you forced to wear that or...?"
Me, knowing damn well he saw 2 other partners without it, gleefully responding-
"Oh, not at all! I've waited my whole life for these (points to face mask) to be socially acceptable in this country." He makes a face and I continue unfazed-
"I have the kind of face that attracts alot of opinions that I'd rather go without."
Guy, never having seen my face goes " No, you don't..."
Me, still playfully " I love it so much, it's a dream come true."
Him, with a genuinely sad tone- " That bums me out..."
That was the last coherent thing either of us said before he drove off 10 seconds later.
It's been 6hrs and I still don't know how I feel about this😂

So weird to me. In peak covid I had a car full of grown ass men be like, "can you take your mask off so I can see your pretty smile?"

Right and like 90% of the reason I wear a mask is because it covers my face and I'm tired of hearing everyone's hot take on what I look like. I've heard it all but never asked.

Man, I'm telling you- this is really where I'm at. I used to use bandanas to cover my face in public years ago but it was strongly ill- advised to do so.

I always throw their own rhetoric back at them. I tell them its my choice as an american with rights. Or i just say I'm really really ugly under here. Either way, these ppl rly think the only reason we mask is because corporate makes us. I'll tell you what though, I'm the only one at my store that's never had covid. I'm also the only one who never stopped wearing a mask.

I’ve only had two people ever ask, both were very nice, but just said “oh are they still making you wear a mask.” I just reply truthfully that my other job I’m a caregiver for a disabled child and they leave it alone. But while out and about shopping not too long ago I had someone yell at me from across the parking lot aisle “that mask is useless!” I was too stunned to speak because I had barely stepped out of my car, but of course thought of what would of been a great comeback “so was the protection your mom & dad used!”

Once I was front and food and I was taking this woman’s order. As I was talking she told me to take off my mask because she could not hear/understand me. I proceeded to lean forward and spoke louder and clearer (even though I already was) and she said she still couldn’t hear me and again asked me to take my mask off. I simply told her I will not take off my mask and asked her if she still wanted to order. And somehow she heard that?! Bitch, I know what you are doing and I am not falling for it ಠ_ಠ

we had one of those, but ours went full karen: “i’m hard of hearing so you have to take off your mask to accommodate me under the ADA!”

Yeah that’s not how that works and also even if you did take off you’re mask she will still be hard of hearing and won’t be able to hear as well. But ok go off I guess lol

i usually just fuckin lie and say "oh ive had a bit of a cough, y'know allergies and all, and i don't want to make anyone uncomfortable" and am Way Too Overly Nice abt it 🤧🤧🤧
