Try to make the dot of a flat white and once you get that pour the milk through the dot to create a heart

Thanks lol I’ve made a heart and a dot but it wouldn’t do anything on this one and I was wondering why bc I’ve never had that problem the right side is also darker

if you don’t break the surface of the crema when pouring latte art, you get a really beautiful contrast from the dark crema of the espresso and the white milk foam. if you do break it, it’s still possible to pour art, just harder/different and you get poor contrast.
here it looks like you broke/disrupted half the crema, and the other half was undisturbed (darker half). your milk possibly separated a little or it wasn’t thick enough, the center kind of looks like when my flat white is /too/ flat and it doesn’t leave a mark.
i’m also getting into latte art and it’s very confusing sometimes haha so that’s just my 2 cents

Try raise and lower the pitcher to play around the flow rate of the milk
