Might be the holiday meeting. It’s non-coverage and like a few days away from holiday launch.
Solid_Scientist_1354 43 points 9m ago
I’m wondering if it’s mandatory. I’ll have one next two week but I am unable to come.
CBukowski808 37 points 9m ago
If you have a good reason you can definitely get out of it. If this is scheduled outside your availability you could probably get away with saying you will be busy doing something else. All they really do is read from something that will be on the iPad eventually.
Solid_Scientist_1354 12 points 9m ago
Thanks for responding. They definitely schedule me out of my availability.
willywankaz432 5 points 9m ago
That won’t work well at least for me it didn’t. All store meetings are Required and you will be writing up. Umm unless it’s an actual emergency. If it’s just training time I don’t know lol
Lanky-You-2819 14 points 9m ago
that’s not a valid write up reason at all. they scheduled you out of your availability
diphenhydranautical 1 points 8m ago
i have another job and was not given enough notice to request off at my other job, and got scheduled to work. i was told that it’s fine and they’ll catch me up
CBukowski808 1 points 9m ago
Meh I’ve gotten out of two meetings and got to leave early from one. It really depends on the manager. I’m an opener though so they understand that a meeting beyond 7:00 is eating into my sleep time.
tadomegu 2 points 9m ago
People in my district are required to join a different store’s meeting usually
catpants243 1 points 8m ago
Lol my manager said she'd pick me up and gave me an attitude for saying I'm unavailable because Sundays are my unavailable days.
jorjor9001 3 points 9m ago
Yeah, I have the same 1.75 hours this week but for me it’s listed as training so I assume it’s a holiday meeting or something along those lines.
Mewlover23 2 points 9m ago
Just curious, but what's the holiday meeting for? Been working at a licensed store until this year. We didn't have a holiday meeting before launch.
CBukowski808 7 points 9m ago
They like to bring the whole store and tell us what’s new and what to expect. Holidays are one of our busiest (if not the busiest) times of the year. It’s nothing really special knowledge-wise that you won’t find on the daily update. They just really like to make a big deal out of it for some reason. I’ve had managers make us decorate the store during the meeting.

Licensed locations probably treat it like it should be tbh. Just another busy time of the year that shouldn’t require the whole store to come together at once to get the message across.
Mewlover23 1 points 9m ago
Weird. All we got was me and someone else speaking with the DM on regards to the PPV. Never was told to do any meeting. Then again we only had 5 people (including me) at most.
overturned23 58 points 9m ago
Probably a meeting. It’s non coverage so you won’t be on the floor (cuz I was gonna tell you to call out if it was coverage lololool). Ask your SM about it.
Adventurethief 56 points 9m ago
A shift for ants?
CamdenF 17 points 9m ago
Discussion sessions. Pod training.
neilgreenbreen 11 points 9m ago
Some more bullshit, presumably
BabyH1ppo 9 points 9m ago
Probably holiday meeting
pickleliz 6 points 9m ago
It’s a holiday meeting. Your entire store will be there and it’s mandatory
SirenSimp 5 points 9m ago
me telling my boss i won’t be staying until 8 for the holiday meeting if i’m working at 4:30 the day after 😂
ABandJ_ 3 points 9m ago
Its a meeting, talk to your gm. Every store does this
caroplan3 3 points 9m ago
They’re calling it the ‘Foundations Meeting’. Your communication that bad that you can’t just like… ask your manager why they scheduled you a certain way?
nickintheback08 4 points 9m ago
If people did that the majority of posts in this Reddit wouldn’t exist lol
Longjumping_Stick_56 2 points 9m ago
i was just curious and didn’t want to bother them
Latter-Guava-4734 3 points 9m ago
I have one that week for training that’s 1.25 hours. Wondering if it’s the same kind of thing though.
CheesiestSlice 3 points 9m ago
It's non coverage, so maybe a meeting or something?
Jealous_Tie1859 3 points 9m ago
frl i have that and ima feeling like not even going.
Longjumping_Stick_56 1 points 9m ago
you have it next monday too?
Jealous_Tie1859 -1 points 9m ago
no, next wednesday. maybe its the "personal report" / "evaluation".
iodge 2 points 9m ago

There’s an app!
Party-Cat-3605 1 points 9m ago
It's the partners hours app.
sapphic-slut 1 points 9m ago
Came here to ask the same thing!
noeyoureatowel 2 points 9m ago
Mandatory holiday meeting, as others have said.
sweet-cream-hedgehog 2 points 9m ago
Its the season for the partner performance meetings, so you might ask your sm
JunipherStar 1 points 9m ago
It says non coverage, maybe it’s a meeting or you’re helping to set up Siren’s Eye?
hal-pal- 1 points 9m ago
A: some bs
sashiyaki 1 points 9m ago
No because I was literally scheduled 6 days this week and I’m not even hitting 30 hours.
Longjumping_Stick_56 3 points 9m ago
it’s getting really old. i’m so sick of the 5.75 shifts too.
Ajskdjurj 1 points 9m ago

ConductorMeaty 1 points 9m ago
