The first drama I’ve witnessed… (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Nicknack124
I think I’ve involved myself and/or accidentally.

Long story short, people have been gossiping. Everyone knows the drama but at the same time no one is supposed to know outside the people actually involved.

I basically let it slip that people have been talking about it outside of the main people by accident.

How do you guys deal with drama? I feel really nervous, guilty and anxious to go back into work. I feel like I’m gonna get in trouble…

The best way to deal with drama is to not get involved. Now that that option is no longer viable, here's what you can do.

First, don't talk about it. If you sense yourself even so much as getting near said drama, remove yourself from the situation or change your mindset to something completely different.

Secondly, assess the damage. What did you do in this context? Figure out the impact and determine how you're going to right whatever wrongs may have transpired. The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior, so go in knowing very well what plays out from here will be a testament of your character to anyone who is involved in this.

Once you have done everything within your ability, don't do it again. Wise people learn from the mistakes of others. Keep your nose clean and enjoy your seat on the sidelines.
