Which would you say is a more organized place to work? Starbucks or Tim Hortons? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by imakittykattt
I’m currently working at a Tim Hortons that is very unorganized and frustrating. There isn’t a easy flow of serving customers and I have to make multiple trips across the room just to make one drink. I have an option of working at Starbucks instead. I’m just wondering if it will be any different of if things typically run more smoothly. Let me know your experience :).

Starbucks focuses a lot on sequencing, so although everything doesn't always work perfectly things tend to be pretty routine and organized!

i worked at tim hortons for 4 years before working at starbucks and i would 100% recommend choosing starbucks. everything about starbucks is better than tims

Starbucks has so many tools and resources for every need possible. The floor has corporate-provided guidance layouts to ensure the best and most efficient set up. I would say a very organized company!

I work at Tim’s. And I gotta say, ANY restaurant would be at least %50 better than Tim Hortons

Certain things like cold foam or blended drinks can be hard to sequence if the store’s layout is weird. BUT the thing I appreciate the most about Starbucks after moving to another coffee job is the ABILITY to sequence drinks efficiently.

I haven’t worked for either company.

As a customer, I notice the Starbucks baristas appear happier, friendlier, and more knowledgeable than the staff at Tim’s.

I assume Starbucks has a better work environment and higher morale.

Frappuccinos are tastier than iced capps!
