Does anyone else's new Italian roast bags smell like the oil is overpoured and burnt? Like fishy? I was trying to help some baristas with coffee tastings for the passport last night and every bag smells off for just particularly our new Italian bags.

It’s not even oily. They straight up smell like Ammonia. Cat piss. Once it’s ground it’s fine, but when I open the bag initially or the cube we keep the beans in it’s instant cat piss. (I know the smell from my older sisters house, she never cleaned anything.

I didn’t mind the taste personally but I hated the smell so much. I used to work at a Clover store and we had a custie order a venti iced French roast every single day sometimes twice a day.
