I think if you’re on LOA, they give you 20 hours a week toward your Ben hours.

I was on short term disability LOA for 3 months (gallbladder removal) and they just said I have to pay what I pay from my paycheck on the benefits website and then when you start work again it goes back to coming from your paycheck. So for me I had to pay the 140 that comes out of my paycheck to keep my benefits as I was not going to be working for over 30 days.

I worked 20-25 hour weeks last year and was out for a month on medical leave due to Covid. I lost my benefits on oct 1st because I was about 30 hours under the required amount. You should be fine if you work 30 a week I think.

Jist read something recently about working as much as possible the couple a weeks before your LoA bc those hours are what it's based off of? Jist regurgitating what I understood it to be so not totally sure of that's correct but worth looking into, picking up more hrs if possible if it is.
