from what I remember from transferring myself, transfers cannot have their pay dropped without demoting? I say this because I had a shift transfer in from across the country making $19 an hour, and when her pay was adjusted to be 17% above the baristas (where shift pay sits) she actually ended up making over cap ($21.50 vs $22.60) and the company had seemingly no choice but to let her continue earning over cap. I believe this also applies moving from high to low CoL, but in your case it’s more likely to go up. Also, go for SSV if you’ve got it in you — the money is quite good if you use it wisely.

i don’t know colorado specifically it probably varies by store anyways but the minimum pay across the us is $15 so you’ll either be making the same or possibly a bit more regardless of where you go

I'd just call stores in the area and ask. Do it at like 2pm on a weekday when it's slow.

In my part of Maryland baristas are 16 and shifts are 22. I don’t know if that helps but I believe the cost of living are similar so it’s not an unbelievable ask
