If you have the big mastrenas with a flat front, you can write on it with chalk pen and it comes off with water :) We do that at my store for the newbs

Yes! We have stuff written on the machine, but the label is CLEAR and the text is SO tiny you can't read it anyway. 😩

someone would put sticky notes on the bean hoppers but i don’t recommend bc they’re annoying when trying to refill and could fall off….writing is such a good idea i’m gonna suggest this for our grean beanies ☺️

Think in syllables too.
Short/Tall has 1 syllable.
Grande/Venti has 2 syllables.
That will help with shots.

trainer tip:
with your left hand facing away from you - do the vulcan "live long and prosper" hand sign.
that is now your cheat sheet.
pinky is short
ring is tall
middle is grande
pointer if venti
thumb is iced venti.
Now you can count up the "GROUPS" of fingers for shots on drinks. first is short/tall which is ONE and the next has two with grande/venti. last is 3 shots for iced venti.
with pumps it's just easy to remember the: chant 2, 4, 6, 8 who do we appreciate?
it's 2,4 2,4 who do we appreciate? GRANDE GRANDE, YAY GRANDE! it'a 2 shots of espresso and 4 pumps of syrup. and you count DOWN and UP for pumps.
meaning. your ring finger is 2/4 meaning if you move up to venti you're at 2/5. down you're on the FIRST group which means ONE shot and now it's 3 pumps. Down again is still one shot and it's 2 pumps.

Aha I was doing the wrong hand sign, I thought it was the Rock On (thumb, pointer, pinky extended, ring and middle tucked). That makes more sense.

My store has these cute little laminated index cards with all that info (plus exception drinks @ americanos, flat whites, etc). But that’s certainly one way to do it. Knowing me, that would be gone like 2 hours into my shift lol. Too much hand washing and sanitizing everything.
