Corporate sends out a weekly update every Monday, which sometimes includes info on upcoming deliveries or shortages. A few weeks before each major launch, stores get the period planning kit, which has details on all upcoming products. Generally there’s a big automated shipment of product in the weeks before the launch. Everyone in the store has access to the launch info, except for exact shipping dates, and is expected to read through the training materials, but not everyone does.
It’s pretty much the same for every corporate store in the US & Canada. The main differences are between corporate and licensed stores. Licensed stores aren’t operated directly by Starbucks so they don’t get all the same info and training can be a lot more spotty.
