You did handle it best fairly, humanly, and realistically. I hate when customers act so entitled and so disconnected to the real world as if we’re not people at the end of the day. NOT ROBOTS.
Yesterday, I took a regulars order and he ordered a tall pike place and a lemon loaf. Same cold bar partner was at warming while I was on POS. Our team are super supportive of each other and always are there for each other so when after I gave him his coffee, he seemed annoyed. I go up to him and ask him if he’s needs anything and he seemed annoyed and asked for his lemon loaf. I seen my partner at warming was backed up, so I just grabbed it for him and sent him on his way.
We ALWAYS try to rush the annoy customers because sometimes when we’re not on their time, they take it out on us. Like nobody told you to come to starbucks last minute or when it doesn’t fit into your schedule.
But the lady, geez. What she expect? For you to treat her like royalty and take her rudeness?
