Can I request time off for 2 weeks if I am 2 months in the job? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hello there!
I’m officially one week old in my job and I always take 2/3 weeks off during the christmas season to visit my fam (abroad). Its still 2 months away so I’m wondering if they usually let you take 2/3 weeks off or will I have to quit?
I’m not expecting them to be paid vacations, but non paid ones of course!
I work at hmshost in the airport!

you can try. it has less to do with you being new and more to do with that being the busy season and everyone wants off around that time. i would put the request in immediately, but remember it’s a request not a guarantee.

You can do it in the app today if you have it downloaded, you don’t have to make a formal request in person. You can emphasize the importance in person though. Two weeks is fine, three is pushing it imo and will be less likely to be approved.
