If you have confirmed close contact, yoy should be wearing a mask for at least 5 if not 10 days. *fingers crossed* godspeed friend.

Do you have sick time? You could call out and use that. Realistically, you’ll have to either take a leave of absence for the duration of your illness or work sick. Just make sure when you do come back you wear a mask constantly indoors.

When I was in close contact with someone who tested positive the day after I was with them, I had to work until I showed a positive test. I knew I would get it and I did not want to put anyone else in danger but I was forced to. They didn’t want me to call out or anything.

Edit: I worked for two days before I tested positive. I’m those two days I wore a mask and distanced myself as much as I could. But I wasn’t allowed to not come in unless I had a positive test :/
