I haven’t been with the company long but I agree. I personally do not care, as long as it doesn’t make my job more difficult. Starbucks has been a tad better of the companies I’ve worked for, but they are a huge corporation and ultimately I am a replaceable body in their store. So yeah as long as these tiktok hacks or whatever it may be aren’t getting in the way of me doing my job comfortably I literally could not give a shit if you get free food or drinks lol.

1. Because people can't accept accountability for the fact that they chose a shit combination or trusted the wrong tiktoker and picked a shitty tasting drink. They want someone to blame for their $10 mistake and that person is not going to be themselves, ever. So you probably rightfully get annoyed because you get blamed for their stupid choice.
2. To add insult to injury, after they choose a shit drink that tastes like shit and then blame you for their shitty-tasting shitty choice, you then get to do the extra labor of making them something different, and you have to apologize on top of it!

That's why I care. I give no shits if SB loses money for remakes, I give lots of shits that people are making me work twice as hard and blaming me while they do so, and I'm not supposed to say, "Boo!"

I do often tell them how dumb and selfish they are anyway, while using generic, upbeat-sounding dialogue and many never realize they are being clowned. My only consolation.

The reason it pisses me off, is because it’s almost always some complicated-ass drink.
Or 2 to 3 drinks that really should have been simple and straightforward, but everything is upside-down and backwards.

It makes me do mental-gymnastics while making a drink, and bar is tough enough as it is. I don’t need some cutie to make me jump through hoops just for their system hack.
