I hope y’all tip those drivers well with the p-card 😎
neighborrcat 40 points 8m ago
oh trust me, we have them leaving well off
jareddlol 9 points 8m ago
Guys what is the p card
neighborrcat 30 points 8m ago
so you know how everyone has a v card? well, this is like that /j

it’s the store credit card (purchase card) for things like buying milk, cleaning supplies, etc.
vegan-trash 8 points 8m ago
When my manager lets us order food from somewhere I am a fat tipper since it’s Starbucks money
meowdrian 92 points 8m ago
I’ve def done it for ice but never for milk.

I wouldn’t want some poor soul having to move that much milk for us when I could just drive to the store and pick it up myself. Plus that gives me a lil break from all the starbucks chaos.
kansias 82 points 8m ago
fr the joy of getting to drive to the store with the company card for milks is unmatched
Lcolecrochet 35 points 8m ago
Yesssss. Plus I get to joke with the store workers that I “don’t think I have nearly enough milk” 😂😂
Lightheaded_gamer 20 points 8m ago
You should put in one or two Starbucks coffee brand coffee beans in your cart as a joke. “ yep we ran out of those too”.😂😂😂
Lcolecrochet 11 points 8m ago
Yessss omg that would be hilarious 😂
minusmartin 12 points 8m ago
i always told the store employee that “i’m just really really thirsty…”
Lcolecrochet 1 points 8m ago
One time I went and I needed like 20 gallons of 2% and the store only had 4 on the shelves. A worker saw me looking panicked and was all “I gotchu girl!” He ran to the back and came out with CASES of milk for me 😂😂
neighborrcat 13 points 8m ago
we literally had 3 people on the floor and were out of milk at 7am

edit: time of day
Lightheaded_gamer 11 points 8m ago
Not to mention the chances a driver with a small car being assigned are high.

Driver with Mini Cooper seeing the order: 👁️👄👁️
xthefabledfox 79 points 8m ago
Yes. Every time we have to do this our store manager orders one box of Oreo cookies because he thinks it’s hilarious to order 20 gallons of milk with one box of cookies.
NothingToSeeFolks 21 points 8m ago
He’s right, that’s hilarious
RyusuiJL 3 points 8m ago
Your manager is awesome.
neilgreenbreen 38 points 8m ago
I haven’t tbh if we’re out and no stores around us have any/I don’t have any partners on the shift with a car, we’re just out. These customers can live without their preferred milk for 16 hours until we get our shipment
RosieHarlan 22 points 8m ago
Isn’t constantly telling customers you’re out of dairy milk more annoying than just using the store credit card to have some delivered on door dash? Fair enough that you leave it be for non-dairy milk, you are only allowed to use the Starbucks approved brands.
Thatza_Latza_Matza 20 points 8m ago
no, I love telling people no and explaining why
RosieHarlan 13 points 8m ago
Dairy milks aren’t able to be marked out of inventory because theres easy options to get more milk which is to buy more with the p-card. The same reason you cant mark out iced coffee but can mark out cold brew.

In the end not buying more dairy milks hurts yourself and fellow partners because you’re not benefitting from the labor of having to constantly explain the situation and the untracked labor and inventory of talking to all the customers and using alternative milks. Not to mention that missing sales and refunds affects the calculations on your weekly labor allowance. Lower daily sales = less people working on the floor.

Just get the milk delivered, it costs you nothing and gets the customers out of your hair faster.
Thatza_Latza_Matza 8 points 8m ago
I get scheduled 1 partner to close with for 4+ hours most days I work. If I run out of milk two hours before I close, i’m not buying more.
joshwantsluke 2 points 8m ago
You def can mark out iced coffee
yungfroggie 34 points 8m ago
my store is right next to a grocery store so someone will just walk a cart over 😭😭😭
Lightheaded_gamer 5 points 8m ago
What you do if the cart gets locked? Or is your store that close?
caitlin_marie_gg 5 points 8m ago
the cart didn’t lock for me but there was a walmart by my store and i walked the cart with the milks in and the custies were staring at me it was so funny
headsinavicee 2 points 8m ago
I had the cart lock on me once so I hulked out and carried so much milk.
yungfroggie 2 points 8m ago
were just that close, right around the corner
darkwolf523 2 points 8m ago
Same 😭
-IzTheWiz- 13 points 8m ago
my local grocery store which is right down the street from our store told us that if we tried to buy milks again theyd deny us service
new_direction_ 6 points 8m ago
I instacart it from the store closest to us and always tip 20%.
nickintheback08 6 points 8m ago
Definitely used Instacart a few times
durqandat 2 points 8m ago
Same
kimememememe 5 points 8m ago
I work at a Target Starbucks so I get to be the math problem fucker walking through the store with 40 gallons of milk in my cart 😂
Vegan_Sweetie 4 points 8m ago
I would never have though of that, but it’s brilliant!
usualclip 3 points 8m ago
i usually farmer walk them over from the closest grocery store
PrettyFlyforaWiFi13 3 points 8m ago
100 percent, I don't have the staff to send someone to the store
neighborhoodswamphag 3 points 8m ago
Ordered 10 bags of ice through instacart. Helped the driver bring them all in and gave her a fat tip….it ain’t my money lol
Torirock10 3 points 8m ago
yeah sometimes
tpwk_cunt 2 points 8m ago
we normally do but sometimes i can beg my manager to let me go get them. getting paid to shop
on the clock
short_4_furnace 2 points 8m ago
Thankfully my store is like right by a Tops. It's just a matter of time we get banned lmao
ksdg1214 2 points 8m ago
Yes. We’ve done it with Instacart.
b99__throwaway 2 points 8m ago
i instacarted printer paper from the store in the parking lot one time bc it was so busy & i wasn’t gonna be able to go get it before i had to do the depo
darkwolf523 2 points 8m ago
Hope y’all tip the doordashers well. Or they will straight up say no
thechamelioncircuit 2 points 8m ago
We instacart
yunggreat 2 points 8m ago
yup used instacart twice in the last three days for milks 😫
Bfloteacher 2 points 8m ago
I instacarted 14 heavy creams and 18 half half’s the other day!! Not weird at all, people want their coffee !
Chub-boat 1 points 8m ago
We have used Instacart for milk before but we've also just sent partners to the grocery. Both amuse me.
Apprehensive-You5261 1 points 8m ago
We’ve done it with heavy cream more than once. My store is in the parking lot with a few other buildings one of them being a grocery so we just run over there and get whatever we need if we run out lmao

When I was in university (2000 or so), an English professor of mine commented that the combination of text messaging and “urban slang” was going to destroy the English language.
I thought he was grumpy old coot, until I saw this post.
neighborrcat 2 points 8m ago
which part threw you off? my little “lol” at the end? because welcome to the internet if THATS what did it for ya
boothbygraffoe -2 points 8m ago
Doordash - not a verb
Though - not a question
Milks - not a plural of milk
I would move on to the body of the post but to save me the frustration, I’ll just end with the fact that you’ve omitted all punctuation and capital letters.
neighborrcat 6 points 8m ago
also, milks is correct. milk is typically a non-countable noun, but in this case it is countable as i am buying multiple cartons of milk. if i had said “cartons of milks,” then no, but i said only “milks.” as for using doordash as a verb, this how language evolves, it’s not being destroyed. this is just like “ubering” for example. sorry my punctuation was sooo terrible. for capital letters, i don’t have that option turned on on my phone. though — it was an open ended question. just missing the punctuation as you so graciously pointed out.

tl;dr fuck off.

edit: grammar because this fucker
boothbygraffoe -4 points 8m ago
The plural of milk is only milks if you have different varieties of milk, which Starbucks does not.
Starbucks has only cow’s milk and and much like your mom’s chin, nut juices.
neighborrcat 3 points 8m ago
sir, this is a starbucks post.
