you’ll let the barista on register know you’re here for onboarding; if they offer you a free drink, you can pick whatever you like.

based on my onboarding a year ago, you’ll sit down with the SM and they’ll usually do a coffee tasting with you (called the First Sip) and help you get your employee info set up: W2, bank info for direct deposit, explain benefits, set a password to log into your sbux account, etc. hopefully you’ll get a quick tour of the store and they’ll introduce you to the other baristas on the floor. once you finish all that, you’ll most likely start on some online training modules for the rest of your first shift.
