I go from 30 hours to 13, then to 24, back down to 15. It's really inconsistent & makes it hard to budget for bills. It's the first things I'm bringing up if my store manager every really does partner development meetings (the last 3 were cancelled).

I’ve heard a lot of stores are cutting back on hours for people. It’s not just you.

Yeah, I was told I’d get 30 hours. I only average 20 which to me isn’t an issue since I’m at school & my family helps me financially. I know morning and peak get more hours since their numbers and sales are the highest ( more staff) & that’s how my district determines hours. This means us closers don’t get much :,) at my store at least. Sometimes we do when many people call off or during holidays. Districts are very strict on labor costs. Managers don’t often get a choice & you’ll be surprised many partners want a lot of hours. Hard to fit everyone sometimes. Especially people who need to average a number of hours to keep their benefits with strict schedules.
Everyone I know has 2 jobs because Starbucks itself doesn’t pay the bills or it can be inconsistent. Or, they’re married which means they have a second income. Even college students who want extra cash like I do. You can pick up shifts from other Starbucks locations, though! It helps get more hours.
