So, first of all, I'm super thankful I found this forum. I'm thankful I'm not the only one experiencing issues, and that I'm not crazy.
My store manager is a genuine headache every day. She has blatant favorites, and it's obvious I'm not one of them. That's fine. I don't need to be. But she's started micromanaging without even know what it is she's doing. let me explain.
On the headset, someone comes to the drive-through but their car isn't pulled up all the way, but it still dings. So you wait just a moment. However, your manager only hears the ding, and that you're not speaking. So, you get yelled at for ignoring someone.
Or, she's on the other side of the store, telling you you're doing something wrong, when there's LITERALLY no way she can see you making that 4,000th Caramel Crunch Frapaccino. I have gotten so overwhelmed with her.
I have attempted to connect with people at the drive-through, but sometimes people don't want to connect. IE: They're on the phone or they literally roll their window up in my face. My manager blames me for not making a good enough connection. I'm genuinely starting to lose my mind.
A Shift Lead of mine is so far up the store manager's butt hole, he has given himself the title of Assistant Store Manager. Our store manager has called him this. BUT. He doesn't have the actual title. He can't fire us, but has threatened to on several occasions. He is genuinely just the most difficult person to deal with. He also likes to micro-manage without knowing what it is he's managing.
I'm going to lose my mind.
