Promoting to shift (self.starbucksbaristas)

When do you guys think is a good time to ask to be promoted to shift lead? I’ve been with the company two months, but I’m told all the time that I’m one of the fastest partners we have and that I do extremely well. I have former shift lead experience elsewhere also.

Yeah tell your boss your interested! Technically there's a 6 month policy but that's broken all the time. Your boss may want to stick to it, but definitely tell them you want to be SSV!

seconded! even if they do want to keep with that policy, it's good to let them know so it's on their radar! they may also be able to give you some tips and advice on what to work on to be a good ssv candidate.

Look at the ssv stuff in ops Excellence guide and follow that. After 6 months start applying
