How are we supposed to get paid for mileage? My old SM used to pay us cash from the register or add it to our paycheck.
My current SM told me we have to do it on the computer. I've been filling out my mileage in the book and they've never said anything about it 😡

You write your milage in the paid out section. The federal rate for milage is currently at .63 cents.
You multiply that times the number of miles you drove.
If you left your store to go get product then came back with it, you add the miles to that location and back. Stay clocked in, but don't abuse the time.
If you picked up stuff on your way to work OR worked a shift at another location then you only do the multiplication for that place to your store, not back and forth. Record the time you left that location to get to your store and add it in the Punch Communication Log as OS (off site)
I've helped 11 stores since March 2021 and never did I ever hear about "putting it on the paycheck".
The proper way, assuming you're in the U.S., is to do it in the book.
You can collect your milage right away or I like to wait until the book is almost done to just collect ot all at once.

So we always get paid out in cash? That was my question. My SM hasn't paid me out since they've been here. And a SSV is telling me it's my responsibility to collect it, even though I've never had to ask for it before.

So next time you're at work go to the paycheck website and view your pay stubs. U can only view them at work, check to see what exactly you're getting paid for. If u can't find anything extra either ask your manager or call your dm

Only for things like getting more store resources. Like if you have to go get milk or cups from another store.
