if i cover a shift and i’m not scheduled for it in the system should i just override and clock in on the ipad or just write it in the book?

Either is fine. Doesn’t matter, you’ll still get paid.

Override if you’re able to, otherwise your SM has to manually input it
You should only use the book if the system isn’t letting you use the iPad, you forget, or your SM tells you to use the book for a certain reason
