I need advice on what to do... (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by weetadevil
For about 5 years now I've worked at license Starbucks and loved it. I fell in love with the Seattle Reserve and even had a job offer to work there as a barista, but since it was so far from where I am currently, I turned it down. Really regretting that decision now.

I finally got a job at a corporate Starbucks nearby, but I was technically hired the first week of October and still haven't worked a full shift. First I needed two weeks to finish up at my last job, and I was supposed to start training last Monday, but my trainer fit and they couldn't find me a new one in time.

I'm really annoyed that the start date keeps getting pushed back because it delays my overall goal of getting to Seattle. Should I just try to transfer to the Reserve since I'm technically a partner now?

From what I understand:

To go to a reserve roastery store you would still have to apply and be hired, it’s not done as a direct transfer because the roles can be quite different

So I’d you still want to do it, just reapply

Do you think I have a chance of them offering the position to me again if I reapplied? I'm worried now since I turned down the offer originally.
