I don’t have the rule anywhere on hand but it is definitely against policy. However it is one of those policies most managers will tell you to ignore to “make the moment right”.

I never had a problem with it. Of course, usually it’s moms with small kids wanting it and I had four kids, so I get it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I figure if it’s about the extra cup cost, just charge them for an extra cup. There’s a $.25 button somewhere.

What I’ve been told is that we can split a venti into two grandes, and a grande into two talls. But we’re not allowed to split a venti into two talls.

I’m also not sure how much of that is standard because it doesn’t really make sense, but also there’s a lot of policies that don’t make sense. That said, take it with a grain of salt.
