Hi,
I am doing some market research and would appreciate the help very much.
1. What percentage of orders are for cold coffees vs hot?
2. What percentage are Cold Brew and what percentage of those are Nitro Cold Brew?
3. What time of the day do you sell the most cold coffee drinks?
4. What percentage of coffee in general do you sell from 5:30-12? What percentage of afternoon drinks are cold?
Again thank you so muich!

Market research? Are you.. asking Starbuck's baristas how to compete with Starbucks?

I am not competing with Starbucks. Hell even if I wanted to compete with Starbucks I could not compete with Starbucks.
I am doing some "market research" to learn about the "Coffee" business, but I dont sell ANYTHING that is on Starbucks menu or even a beverage that is like anything on Starbucks menu.
I am just trying to learn/understand trends in the beverage industry overall.
IF ANYONE had the ability to compete with Starbucks and was going into the coffee business they had better have the funding to hire proper firms etc...
I am just a wannabe entrepreneur with a dream, that has nothing to do with anything Starbucks serves.
All of that being said I dont think Starbucks has any loyalty to their employees and most employees are not shareholders.
It would be like me asking what time of the day McDonalds sells the most big macs!

It really depends on the store and the time of year honestly
I’m not sure if baristas and shift supervisors have a way to see these sales metrics, or even if store managers can see it

I worked at one in Arlington TX 14 years ago.
I dont think that Nitro Cold Brew was even around back then! I sure dont remember anyone ordering it!
Even cold coffee was not as popular back then from what I remember.

The only thing I know is us shifts had to run pod trainings (advising, coaching, etc we’re the titles) a couple months back and it stated that 75-80% of Starbucks sales are cold drinks. I am not sure of the rest it depends on the store, I don’t know how to access that information the SM might be able to.
