Closing is chill as a barista. All you really need to worry about is cleaning tasks and restocking.

It’s not bad! The two main tasks at my store are sweeping/mopping the floors in cafe, behind bar, bathrooms and BOH, and breaking down the mastrena (we take apart the second one before close). Then stuff like trash, wipedown counters, making sure everything’s restocked etc.

that’s literally me today 😭 I’ve been opening the last 6 months and I have one random closing shift today
Jrealll 11 points 8m ago
I’m the opposite I’ve been closing for so long then randomly an opening shift.

It’s just opening in reverse basically right? I closed once and immediately changed my availability 🥲 got so lost and the shift was new to the store so she had no idea if we did everything right

Literally just the opposite of opening and cleaning stuff up

think about what you guys need to be set up properly in the morning! bring back all the dishes and make sure everything is clean and stocked. it’s easiest to break it down section by section and focus on one group of tasks at a time, like dishes, backups, cleaning, restocking.
