i had this happen and the dude (of course) came in immediately after placing his mobile so i was like hey do you want one decaf shot or two because the drink only comes with two shots and he got SO snarky with me and said “idk just do it how you’re supposed to do it.” so i decided to ALSO be bad at fractions and decaf the rude ass

Blonde is 85mg a shot making a grande 170 and decaf has 10mg so 2/3 is about 123mg…. Honestly not a big dif. The same amount of caffeine As like a soda

It’s not pointless imo. I personally have a heart condition and calculate how many mg of caffeine I can have. That is still nearly one less of a full shot and could make a difference. Just saying

I usually bring it up if it's something that really is just stupid and I'll explain our standard or recipe and just kind of try and nudge them towards the right decision but I wouldn't just assume and "tell them they're wrong" and that you did something different from their order.

I have never been more angry at any other drink than the time a woman ordered 2 kinds of cold foam on a drink… it was also a ridiculous drink otherwise…. It was a bose with like 20 pumps each of like 4 different syrups, I think there was also pumps of chai, light ice (of course), extra oat milk, vsccf and cswcf, and then I gave it to her and 2 minutes later she said she had asked for 6 pumps of white mocha, as well. I also think it might’ve been 2/3 decaf.

Pull a decaf shot. Eyeball 2/3 of it down the drain. Pull a regular shot (not blonde; blonde has been removed from this drink). Eyeball 2/3 of it into the other shotglass (you might be able to use the crema sticking to the side of the shotglass as a measuring stick).
