I had to work it last year and between the 45 min wait time, broken bar, mobile orders STILL ON, and bitchy customers, I don't feel like doing it again this year. dunno if I'll get approved, but at least I can try 😔

haha luckily I don't need to resort to that, I think I put in my request early enough that I got approved. props to my coworker for reminding me to request off. though I have a feeling I'll see a "no more request offs for 11/17" on the board when I come in tomorrow lol

oh my sweet green bean.. red cup day is a part of the holiday launch, although this year it's on the 17th. with the purchase of any holiday drink, customers receive a free reusable holiday themed cup. the customers go nuts over it. quality-wise, they're the exact same as the core reusable hot cups.

My SSV told me the other morning, every customer will get a cup for every drink they pay for. As in everything but water gets a cup. His strategy to survive red cup day = make them hoes disappear

that's what we ended up doing halfway through the day last year. my ssv just started handing these cups out like they were candy, trying desperately to not be the last store with cups. one partner took home a full stack. we gave people cups for simply entering the store. he doesn't even remember doing this, but he didn't deny it

Oh god I’m getting PTSD from last red cup day. 3 man floor, mobile orders on & I was solo bar for most of peak. Needless to say I wanted to DIE after that shift.
