i always try to gently tell parents that the refreshers are caffeinated if i sense that the kid is under like… 10? they usually don’t know and thank me for telling them, then go on to pick a different (albeit sugar-loaded) option

one mom looked me in the eye and then at her kid and then back to me wide-eyed and said “that makes so much sense” (car trips with a a caffeinated kiddo)

i always go with blended strawberry lemonade or strawberry cream frap (but say that one is more like a milkshake)

They're mostly white grape juice but people don't realize they have caffeine because green coffee isn't a widely known thing.

They almost never know so if they give the vibe that they are giving this to their kid to calm them down (so they don’t have a tantrum) or the kid is very little I always let them know that they’re caffeinated. I usually suggest a lemonade with some strawberry purée added. I once watched a kid suck down a strawberry açaí in like 3 seconds flat and told her mom they had caffeine and she smugly told me she knew that. And then a minute later came back to ask me how much after she must have connected all the pieces.
