Had my first training day yesterday, I felt my trainer was a bit inappropriate a handful of times. What do you think? ()

The pronoun question was normal. They just want to know how to refer to you respectfully. The prying into your life and trauma dumping is definitely less normal.

your coworkers sound obnoxious. asking peoples pronouns has become a normal just respect kind of thing, but delving into the sexualities of not just yourself but your coworkers??? at work????? talking about trauma to someone who didn’t even ask???! what!!! the fuck!!! is going on!!

Go straight to filing an ethics report, this is bullying, no one at anytime should be asking your sexual orientation in any workplace. Skip going to the manager and district manager, go straight to ethics report, you can remain anonymous.

okay, if a SM decided to share personal information like that with another partner without my consent i would be astonished. honestly, i would bring up to your SM that you appreciate them trying to allow other people get to know you, but sharing very personal info like that to other partners is 1. extremely inappropriate and 2. i would have a talk about respecting boundaries. i don’t think you’re in the wrong AT ALL for being uncomfortable in the situation especially when you’re so new and still in training. i don’t think anyone should be asking about such personal business and there is a time and a place for these things, and that time is not at work. i’m sorry you had to deal with this!

Asking pronouns is normal lmfao what. Unless you seem visibly queer in some sense, there was no reason for them to ask your sexuality. The rest was out of pocket

It doesn't matter professionally but a lot of queer people like to know if the people around them are queer or not

Your SM sharing that info is completely unacceptable. I personally would quit bc that’s nobody’s business.
