We had a store meeting yesterday where we were told that mobile order/delivery were about to not be able to do that anymore, so the future is looking slightly better.

The app hasn't changed yet, but it is going to pretty soon. Corporate literally sent out an announcement saying that holding ice from frappuccinos will no longer be possible, in app, starting in November I believe. If you're a barista like you say, you should already be aware of this. I suggest you try reading the weekly updates like you're supposed to instead of lecturing the baristas on this sub who bother to stay informed.

ice is part of the recipe, its not a frap without it. same with the shaken espresso. theres no reason to have the option to take out something thats required to make the recipe. im not even sure what the point of using the blender would be if you dont want ice in your frap. that makes no sense.

Yeah I think this makes sense. I don’t get fraps bc I’m slow asf drinker and they melt so quickly. Especially if you’re driving 5 home to your family I mean it makes sense.

Honestly the thing in the base that makes it creamy is the xanthan gum. So they could just make a simple syrup (or buy one) and put xanthan gum in it

That’s what we were saying, that we thought it started closer to the holiday launch but because no one could remember the date she decided it should start immediately, I was on my way out so I didn’t argue as I didn’t feel like having to stick around to find the exact place where it was, when she should have known it herself

one time someone at my store ordered one without ice. we did everything according to recipe card, just without ice (blended it and everything). then the customer came in and caught an attitude saying “is this seriously all you’re going to give me” and all i said was “yes, you requested no ice” and she kept asking for a refund even though we told her that we couldn’t refund mobile orders.

Lol thats a whole other conversation that will start a war on here but with most other drinks, light ice or no ice means you get more product but with Frappuccinos I know sometimes people don't get ice in it because they want to take it home and blend it but there are those customers that get no ice in Frappuccinos and then they get pissed off when they come and the cup is not filled all the way because those people think that no ice means extra product for every single iced drink.

I had someone order a hot shaken espresso. I work at a hotel so we already charge more. You bet your butt I charged her for an americano with almond milk and brown sugar and she got charged 11 dollars 👌🏻

i got 3 matcha fraps without ice once and the woman who ordered it could not figure out what the hell they wanted. i had to make their drinks 5 separate times and we eventually settled on light ice 🙃 now they always order matcha lattes lol
