Sauce pumps (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by derrussian
Are all sauces supposed to go in the white containers with their specialized pump collars? I know there was a shortage of the pumpkin spice pumps this year but in general is there as much of a difference when using the plastic pumps designed for the containers they come in.

I'm at a liscensed store so we don't always have the access to certain things corporate stores do and I just wanna know if this is throwing proportions off too much or if it's ok until we can get what is needed in

It depends on the sauce.

Pumpkin spice, mocha, white mocha, chai, frap roast, and dark caramel all go in the white containers with metal pumps. With the metal pumps you have to make sure the dosing collar is labeled correctly for the sauce, and the correct spout type is used (cbs coffee/chai for those, and the cbs mocha/white mocha labeled pump for all the thick sauces, and the mocha pump in the tall container for regular mocha)

The holiday sauces such as toasted white mocha and caramel brûlée are sent with disposable pumps and should be used with the pumps sent with the containers. There is no metal pump to use for them. The plastic pump for these sauces should be changed every time you get a new bottle, because they are sent with one pump per bottle

The other plastic pumps (white ones) are only for the creme base and coffee base and shouldn’t be used on anything else
